Volcom has opened the doors to its new retail location at the recently renovated Westfield Century City shopping center. Every detail of the all-new 2,148 square foot store has been carefully crafted to reflect the brand’s skate and street-inspired aesthetic, welcoming visitors into an immersive retail experience highlighted by unique architectural features and global flagship design. The store will be impossible to miss: a 14-foot infinity mirror in the shape of the brand’s iconic Stone logo and constructed of steel I-beams, is built into the exterior storefront glass, creating a unique photo-op for mall patrons. Inside, an upside-down mini ramp hangs from the ceiling and sections of the store’s interior walls feature skate-able transitions. The back of the store features over-sized panoramic screens for streaming videos and user-generated content from social media feeds. The dressing rooms highlight the brand’s video arm, Veeco Productions and will feature art, images, and a historical timeline of Volcom’s catalog of skate, surf, and snowboard films.
